Hi D and All,

Any thoughts on best NSAIDs as part of an off-label cancer approach?

Celecoxib, Diclofenac, Aspirin?

Obviously, if there is research on an NSAID for a specific cancer/situation, you would use that one. For example, Indomethacin can resensitize men to zytiga if they are failing 2nd line androgen deprivation and celecoxib was shown to increase survival in men with prostate cancer taking Zometa.

But if there is no research indicating a specific NSAID, any thoughts on a best choice?

Hi Shanti,

There was no answer because it is a difficult choice. All have great science behind a very helpful action. But I think I would go for Celecoxib.

Kind regards,
Daniel

@daniel

Thanks for the response D! I'm thinking about switching my husband to Celcoxib and then to Indomethacin if he goes back on ADT since it blocks one of the enzymes used for the cellular synthesis of androgens.
