Anti cancer mechanisms of  some Chinese Medicine :

1.Antimutagenicity:Ginseng,fiveleaf gynostemma herb,green tea,scutellariae barbatae,astragalus etc.

2.Direct cytotoxity:Oridonin,poricidin,poria etc

3.Inducing cancer cell apoptosis:Tetrandrine,berbamine,rhizoma etc.

4.Supressing proliferation and inducing differentiation:Epimedium,tanshinone,garlicin etc.

5.Supressing cancer vessel:Coriolus versicolor polysaccharide,lentinan,cordyceps sinensis polysaccharide,

chinese thorowax root,szechuan lovage rhizome etc.

6.Influence of membrane protein structure:Croton,achyranthis etc.

7.Photosentisizers:Coptis,phellodendri,sophorae flavescentis,scutellaria,fructus etc.

8.Multiple drug resistance:Vincristine,tetrandrine,emodine,cepharanthine,fructus etc.

to be aproved should have a clear function. 

very interesting and ilustrative pics about efects, tree of effects. 

I feel we are far from this medicine. To Watch close.

Apart of unkown adverse events/ interactions  very dificult to get all this herbs .

Yes Jandro,China has a huge and complex history of cancer medicines from 100's of years.

Now west is very interested and found most of them are efficient on cancer stem cells.

And now In chemo-sensitivity test,they test for some of them.

But we know they test 16.000 chemicals on cancer stem cell(i dont know which compounds and included those above or not),and found Salinomycin is best.

And still %99 oncologists dont hear about it.Isnt it interesting?
