Hi everyone!

I would like to start a discussion about effectiveness of the plant Artemisia Annua. Has anyone had any experiences?

Hi Bernie,

Some years ago, I wrote a post on Artemisia Annua here https://www.cancertreatmentsresearch.com/artemisia-annua-its-extract-artemisinin/

At the end of the article you will find comments by those who used or is using Artemisinin or Artemisia Annua. I used this for my wife as a cancer treatment (bot oral and IV) and I use it for myself from time to time when needed to fight infections for example.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel- How soon after getting  IV iron is it safe to continue taking artemisinin. My husband took this for one month with a starting hemoglobin of 8.4 and now it is at 6.2. He had severe intestinal bleeding after last round of chemo and was sent home with a prescription for pain killers. So of the four weeks that he took it the first week he was still bleeding and then gradually it stopped. I’m not sure if the artemisinin or the severe bleeding caused the two point drop. When he started his last series of chemo his hemoglobin was at 11.5. Since taking artemisinin he noticed improvement in intestinal inflammation. Since getting IV iron five days ago pain in intestinal area is getting bad again and he has a had a major decrease in appetite and pain level is increasing. I have not given him artemisinin since his IV iron infusion.

@patty Hi Patty, from your explanation I understand that artemisinin helped your husband. I would see no problem in starting now artemisinin again. I would avoid combining them in the same day.

Kind regards,

Daniel

Thank you so much Daniel. We started it last night and today was the first day in five days that he was able to eat three small meals. It really brought down the inflammation in his intestinal tract. Initially it did give him intense pain after taking it for a short time but then it subsided. Is that a normal response? He has colon cancer that spread to his peritoneum. Most of the pain felt after taking it was across the abdomen. I’m hoping it’s from the artemisinin working since he was so overloaded with iron six days ago.

@patty Dear Patty,

Its difficult to say if that was a normal response, but the outcome sounds positive and that is the most important. Please spend some time to go through this website and if you have questions, please write here and friend here and myself will try to help with answers.

You could start by reading this https://www.cancertreatmentsresearch.com/summary-of-this-website/ and this https://www.cancertreatmentsresearch.com/community/colon-cancer-colorectal-cancer/

Kind regards,

Daniel
