Hi friends, just came across the following type of herbal medicine, so just sharing here:

Proteomics analysis of tumor exosomes reveals vital pathways of Jinfukang inhibiting circulating tumor cells metastasis in lung cancer

Available online: 30 March 2020

Abstract

Ethnopharmacological relevance

Jinfukang has long been used for the clinical treatment of lung cancer.

Previous studies have shown that Jinfukang can induce the apoptosis of circulating tumor cells by intervening ROS-mediated DNA damage pathway.

However, whether Jinfukang can inhibit the metastasis of circulating tumor cells and its mechanism are still unclear.

Aim of the study

To further investigate the mechanism of Jinfukang in anti-metastasis of lung cancer from the perspective of intervention of tumor exosomes.

:

:

:

Conclusion

Jinfukang inhibits the metastasis of CTC-TJH-01 cells through the EGF pathway.

Jinfukang regulates integrin/Src pathway and anoikis mediating circulating lung cancer cells migration

Available online: 15 October 2020

Abstract

Ethnopharmacological relevance

Metastasis is the main cause of death in lung cancer patients.

Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) may be an important target of metastasis intervention.

Previous studies have shown that Jinfukang could prevent the recurrence and metastasis of lung cancer, and we have established a circulating lung tumor cell line CTC-TJH-01.

However, whether Jinfukang inhibition of lung cancer metastasis is related to CTCs is still unknown.

:

:

:

Conclusions

Our results indicate that the migration and invasion of CTCs are inhibited by Jinfukang, and the mechanism may involve the suppression of integrin/Src axis to induce anoikis.

These data suggest that Jinfukang exerts anti-metastatic effects in lung cancer may through anoikis.

Jin Fu Kang

A traditional Chinese herbal medicine derived from the plant Astragalus membranaceus with potential immunopotentiation activity.

Jin Fu Kang may stimulate anti-tumor macrophage and natural killer cell activity and may enhance immune recognition of tumor cells by inhibiting the production of T-helper cell type 2 (Th2) cytokines such as interleukin-4 (IL-4) amd interleukin-10 (IL-10).

Thanks.

Hi Daniel, thank you for your "liked" 🙂

I learnt "Exosomes" from your latest great article:

https://www.cancertreatmentsresearch.com/exosomes-in-cancer/

Exosomes: The Inter-cellular Communication System

and then the following year 2020 article, with herbal medicine information, mentions "tumor exosomes", so I just created this new topic 🙂

Proteomics analysis of tumor exosomes reveals vital pathways of Jinfukang inhibiting circulating tumor cells metastasis in lung cancer

Available online: 30 March 2020

Wish you have a very nice Sunday as well 🙂

Thanks.
